COVIM AT MARCA 2020: COMPOSTABLE AND MORE
Marca 2020 closed in Bologna a few days ago. Our coffee participated once again this year in Italy’s only trade fair concerned solely with trademarks, where more than 750 companies exhibit products exemplifying Italian excellence.
At a booth that was green in both colour and substance, our display highlighted all the new products launched in 2019 ready for sale in 2020.
The focus was on Covim’s compostable lines, such as its conventional paper pods and innovative 100% compostable capsules, which are ecological in every way, from the package to the envelope, among the first completely plastic-free capsules.
In addition to the formats already available for sale, such as Pressò and Ora, compatible with the Nespresso® and Lavazza® A Modo Mio® systems, 2020 will see the launch of GustoPiù compostable capsules, compatible with the Nescafè® Gusto Giusto® system, in 5 different blends inspired by the natural elements: Earth, Fire, Air, Water (decaffeinated) and Organic.
The two-day event was an intense one, during which new contacts were established and historic relationships consolidated, working hard to promote the value of our brand and make Covim one of Italy’s most prominent coffee trademarks.
Here are a few photographs of our two days at Marca:
“DA ESPRESSO A ESAUDITO”: 1733 CUPS OF COFFEE HANDED OUT FOR A GOOD CAUSE IN GENOA.
On Saturday December 21 and Sunday December 22, people needed an energy boost to get their Christmas shopping done in central Genoa. Piazza Caricamento hosted “Da espresso a esaudito”, a charity initiative designed to promote last-minute Christmas shopping and make ordinary cups of espresso coffee into wishes come true.
We offered everyone passing by a cup of coffee, and donated €1.20 for every cup to Helpcode, a non-profit association concerned with the protection of children’s rights all over the world.
By simply stopping to enjoy a good cup of espresso, 1733 Genoese shoppers helped Covim support “C’era una volta la cena”, Helpcode’s project offering concrete support for children at risk of malnourishment due to their families’ economic difficulties.
In addition to warming themselves up with a free cup of quality coffee, passers-by were able to find out more about the vast range of Covim blends available on the supermarket shelves, including conventional and compostable capsules in Nespresso or Lavazza A Modo Mio compatible formats, sampling two different blends: Covim Tango, a refined blend for the most demanding palates, and Covim Minuetto, a sweet, creamy espresso which is caffeine-free.
The initiative once more brought the Covim trademark into the city’s streets and squares, identifying Covim as the coffee of the Genoese people.
