97% PERCENT OF ITALIANS DRINK COFFEE
A study conducted by the Chamber of Commerce of Milan and the ICO (International Coffee Organisation) for World Coffee Day looked at Italians’ buying habits, choice of beverages and preferences for their preparation.
The figures included an unexpected finding: 97% of all Italians drink coffee in one form or another!
This means that practically everyone in Italy drinks some form of coffee at least once a day: espresso, americano, moka, caffè macchiato, caffelatte, cappuccino, etc…
It’s also interesting to see where they drink their coffee: Italians drink an average of about four cups of coffee a day, normally consuming a couple of cups at home, one at the espresso bar and one in the office, primarily at three key times of day: breakfast, mid-morning and after lunch or dinner.
To respond to all the demands of such a vast coffee-drinking population, Covim offers prestigious espresso blends for use in all these locations (the bar, the restaurant, the office, and the home) and in all possible formats, so that coffee fans can choose their favourite way of making coffee.
