COMPOSTABLE CAPSULES ON THE SUPERMARKET SHELVES
GDO News, the portal providing the public with information and news from the world of supermarket distribution, has published an article about our partnership with Eurospin. Our know-how qualified us for selection as the maker of 100% compostable capsules for the Don Jerez brand.
This partnership in pursuit of cutting-edge technology permitted creation of compostable capsules compatible with the most commonly used Nespresso® and Lavazza® A Modo Mio® espresso machine systems.
The ongoing search for innovative and sustainable companies and materials has permitted development of capsules that preserve the qualities of the various blends contained in quality coffees unaltered over time.
Eurospin is a strong supporter of this choice, and has been working for a number of months on conveying the importance of these products to customers, displaying compostable capsules prominently on supermarket shelves.
In addition to this successful private label partnership, January 2019 saw the launch of Covim’s compostable product lines compatible with the Nespresso® and Lavazza® A Modo Mio® systems, which a number of supermarket chains began selling on their shelves right away, beginning with:
Coop Nordovest;
Coop Centro Italia;
Pan supermarkets in Sardinia;
Carrefour Market and Carrefour Express in Liguria;
the Aspiag Group in Despar supermarkets in the regions of Veneto and Emilia Romagna;
Rewe, in 380 Penny Market stores selling our organic coffee in compostable capsules;
Gabrielli supermarkets in Abruzzo, Marche, Umbria and Campania;
Di Meglio in Liguria;
Ekom in Liguria and Piedmont;
Famila supermarkets in Umbria.
Our compostable capsule line will soon be sold in additional prominent supermarket chains, such as Agorà (Basko, Iperal, Gruppo Poli, Tigros) and a chain of stores specialising in organic food, Piacere Bio.
